This is an online workshop. Classes are live, but recordings will be available for 4 months afterward.

The title sheds light on what our focus will be during this 4 session course. I want to explore what it means to find poetry in painting the landscape. We will follow an outline that includes principles of composition and design, my painting process from observation to mark making, and searching for a personal painting vocabulary. Each class will include instruction and discussion along with painting demos. Students can submit weekly homework assignments to an online platform where I can review and offer critiques. I’ve enjoyed these classes in the past and am excited to offer this one again!
