This painting was actually done in 2019 and was part of an early series of Dutch klompen. I am including it in this collection to show the thread of inspiration that has been with me from the very beginning of my painting journey. When I first began painting in 2007, I started with working from photographs I had taken in The Netherlands when I lived there several years earlier. This place has been interwoven into my artistic expression all along.
