When I lived in The Netherlands in my early 20s I lived for about 6 months in this pretty little city, Zoetermeer. It means “Sweet Lake” and it was a place where I really fell in love with the people. This view looking down the canal near the Dorp Straat is a familiar view that hasn’t really changed much in the almost 25 years since I lived there.
